The universe is telling me to get off my stationary bike (aka ass) and out into the fit and fabulous world by directing me towards some really cool active wear labels this week.
I was asked to co-ordinate and style a shoot for Cricks Kia Noosa recently so I put the feelers out to find some cute active wear for our models. I found that there are some new players in the game that need to be seen and worn.
Here is your fitspo 4 the new year!
d + k
d + k is a Brisbane label that is keeping it completely local. d+k is accredited with Ethical Clothing Australia which means you are buying garments cut, made and trimmed locally. Plus the range is truly in touch with what we want – garments that are on trend, easy to wear and can comfortably cross from gym to leisure wear.

Fettle
Hayley and Peta are the designers behind this incredible label. Last week they launched their second range and this was where I found out more about the girls and their label. Both women have represented Australia in sport internationally. They know how hard it is for female athletes – very little monetary or promotional support – so a portion of every garment sale goes directly to their Fettle girls. They name each garment after the rising athletes they support each year and the 2017 Fettle girls include Chelsea Baker (Rugby League), Lucinda Crouch (Runner), Rhiannon Baxter (Hockey), Aroha Tulloch (American Football), Kirsty Higgison (Iron Woman) and Kirra Siedel (Triathlete).

Godiiva Lady
Noosa athlete and super fittie Bec brings the style to running. Her search for the perfect run short resulted in her creating it! Designed by a runner for runners you will not find a more comfortable running short – the professional run short wearers tell me it’s like wearing nothing at all. Plus the small range offers some cute active lifestyle inspire prints.

Sun Soaked
Designer Kate opened her first boutique this week where I had a look at the entire range. Sun Soaked is a range of stylish sun protective swimwear – sun safe and sexy works for me! I featured the Janie swimsuit in the Summer issue of In Noosa Magazine and it is the labels best seller! I also found they offer a range of swim active wear that offers UV protection and is so cleverly designed to work with Summer activities. The active short, capri short and crop top are perfect for stand-up paddle boarding and jet skiing if you wish to be a little more covered up. In addition, Sun Soaked swim shorts finally offer a fashionable and functional alternative to swimsuits.
So now you can swim, run, gym, sun your way through Summer in style!
Get shopping and tell ’em I sent you.
